The term 'Military Treatment Facility ' as it applies to the area of Medicare in the United States can be defined as ' A medical facility operated by one or more of the Uniformed Services. A Military Treatment Facility (MTF) also refers to certain former U.S. Public Health Services (USPHS) facilities now designated as Uniformed Service Treatment Facilities (USTF)'.
